[Technical data presentation in progress!] Ozone crack

For customers in the Tokai area: It is important to choose materials suitable for the usage environment! Please consult us if you are having trouble with rubber materials.

At our company, we select materials based on our extensive knowledge and proven track record in sales and verification. Some rubber materials can develop cracks on their surface when exposed to ozone or ultraviolet light. This occurs because, when left in the atmosphere, ozone causes a chemical reaction in the rubber, leading to molecular-level breakage. It is important to choose materials that are suitable for the usage environment of the rubber. If you are struggling with rubber material selection, please feel free to consult us. A must-see for customers in the Tokai area, especially in Shizuoka, Aichi, and Yamanashi prefectures! You can start with just a consultation. Please do not hesitate to contact us. 【Test Conditions (Excerpt)】 ■Test Specimen: O-Ring P-24 (Inner Diameter 13.8 x Wire Diameter 3.5) ■Rubber Materials: Nitrile (NBR), Fluoroelastomer (FKM), Silicone (VMQ), Ethylene Propylene (EPDM) ■Elongation Rates: 10%, 20%, 30% ■Test Location: Outdoor Exposure ■Evaluation Criteria: Degree of Cracking *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Silicone Corrosion Resistance Test

The sample is immersed in a 6% hydrochloric acid solution of ferrous chloride at room temperature for 96 hours, and the weight change before and after the test is measured.

We will introduce the corrosion resistance test of "Silicoroi." First, prepare a test solution of 6% hydrochloric acid and ferric chloride solution. The test specimens are produced from various materials under different heat treatment conditions. The surface roughness is adjusted using waterproof sandpaper #400, and degreasing is performed with acetone. Then, each material is immersed in the 6% hydrochloric acid and ferric chloride solution at room temperature for 96 hours, and the weight changes before and after the test are measured using a precision balance to determine the corrosion rate. For more details, please download the catalog and take a look.
